Booking Policy, Payment and Refund Policy / Program Policy

 

Please read and familiarize yourself with our company policies before signing up for any of our training programs.
Participants in any of our classes or drop in sessions must book through the booking system and complete a waiver.

Payment and Refund Policy:

 

All fees must be paid on or before the start of your first class. Payments may be make by etransfer, cash or cheque.
48 hours notice (2 days) prior to start of class is required for cancellations or refunds - no exceptions. Because our classes fill weeks in advance last-minute cancellations and transfers can wreak havoc with the balance of the class registrations. Please check your calendar carefully and plan to attend the class you sign up for.

 

Weather Policy:

Classes will be cancelled if the temperature reaches 25 C or if there is a Red Weather Warning due to heat, cold or rain/storm.
We will do our best to notified you by email if classes are being cancelled due to weather warnings or alerts. Please check your email before leaving to class.

Program Policy:

• A Puppy Essentials Program or K9 Life Skills Level 1 Program is a prerequisite to all other On Q K9 Training Programs. If this is your first On Q K9 Training Program and you are signing up for any program other than Puppy Essentials or K9 Life Skills Level 1 you must have an approved equivalent before you can register, please email us at onqk9training@gmail.com
• Only flat collars are to be used in any of our training programs. No choke chains, shock collars, pinch collars and/or retractable style leashes are ever used as part of our training curriculum. Should you arrive with one of these types of equipment on your dog you will be asked to remove it and it will be replaced by a loaner collar/leash for that one class. It is then your responsibility to comply with the policy from that point forward.
• Training Programs are 4 weeks long, 1 hour per week, on the same day and time each week. Family members are encouraged and welcome to attend this program.
• All puppies are required to have their first two (2) vaccinations before starting Puppy Essentials. If your puppy is not fully vaccinated and you would like other socialization and training options please email us at onqk9training@gmail.com
• The first class is mandatory for all Puppy Essentials and K9 Life Skills Level 1 Programs.
• All dogs and puppies must have been seen by a veterinarian before attending class. All dogs must be in good health and free of parasites in order to attend class.
• You may attend class without your dog in the event that your dog is ill.
• If you have a bitch in season it is your responsibility to contact your instructor for permission to attend class. You may be asked to leave your dog at home (you may attend class without her).
• A responsible adult must attend class each week if the handler is under 16 years of age.

COVID 19 Policy:

• If you are experiencing any symptoms of Covid -19, please do NOT attend class.
• ​Please carry a mask for all classes.
• We have limited class size to 4 participants in order to ensure social distancing.
• Appropriate cleaning will take place as necessary.
